What are energy networks?

Energy networks are the lower pressure gas pipes and low, medium and high voltage electricity lines that transmit and distribute gas and electricity from energy transmission systems directly to households, businesses and industry.

Our members provide more than 16 million electricity and gas connections to almost every home and business across Australia.

Energy networks are delivering a sustainable energy future by connecting household solar panels to the grid, transporting renewable energy around the country via the transmission network and decarbonising our gas network through hydrogen and biogas.
